this error keeps popping up for me!

im just started using retromcp java to mod retro version, yet this error keeps popping up now. i swear that it use to be less common, and i tried uninstalling some third party and windows security software and did almost everything, yet nothing work, i also have installed jdk 8 from azul zulu

What Java version and OS version?

This looks to be an issue with SSL certificates which may happen if you're on an outdated OS / Java version combination.

this is on windows 11, and is on java 8 as far as i checked

Run java --version...

There are over 400 versions of Java 8.

when ever i run that on windows powershells, this is that it spat it out for me "Unrecognized option: --version
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit."

this is after that i installed jdk 8 from azul zulu. uninstalling it and run the command ones again did work for some reason, "java 21.0.6 2025-01-21 LTS
