F8 only works once, then have to reopen VSC

Recently, the F8 button to run a selection of code has stopped working for the PowerShell Extension.

1. I open VSC and wait fro the PS extension to load
2. I select code and Press F8 and the code runs
3. I select code again, and the F8 button will no longer run the code. I have to close an reopen VSC in order for this to work again.
4. I tried uninstalling the PS extension, VSC, etc...but nothing works

This started happeing within the past 2 weeks or so. I saw someone on reddit was experiencing the same issue, but no one can figure out a solution. I am on the latest version of VSC as well as the latest version of the PS Extension.

predictive intellisense stops working as well when this occurs

I had this exact same issue, I believe technically it doesn't stop, it just locks up for 5-10 minutes (I suddenly had the commands run AGES after I attempted to run them)

People on discord suggested turning off this setting which appears to have switched on by default in 1.107

I did it yesterday and it seems to have helped
