gazelle plugin 1.7.0 on BCR?

Background:

• The BCR CI changes made it difficult to release 1.7.0 gazelle plugin to the BCR.
• The Windows support is not tested from now on due to Migrate from smacker/go-tree-sitter to the official tree-sitter/go-tree-sitter #3416
• ci: add ci config to test 7 and 8 for bcr like setup #3404 removed windows testing for BCR submits, hopefully "fixing" the future releases, which are planned in the near future Release 1.8 #3466.

With #3404 "fixing" gazelle BCR by disabling windows tests, is there anything else blocking a 1.7.0 release of the gazelle plugin on BCR?

I would have said that no. Do you think doing a release in early January be good enough, or do we need to backport the PR in question to 1.7 and do a 1.7.1 release?

It might be a little weird to have a rules_python 1.7.0 but no _gazelle_plugin 1.7.0, but I don't think that's actually a major issue.

IMO early Jan is good enough. No backport.
