With https, only www.dir2019.nl works, but not dir2019.nl

It is the DNS (but I do not know exactly what to do 🤓).

Thanks, good find. It unfortunately seems like it is a Github pages thing:

GitHub doesn't currently support creating a certificate that covers both your root domain and your www subdomain. We only generate a certificate for the exact domain that you specify in the custom domain input box.

Yes, compare the output of dig informagus.nl to dig dir2019.nl.

Your A record points to 188.93.150.76, which is not github!

I set the records to point to the github addresses.
