Description
There's been a lot of change with Go Micro. To be honest I'm surprised it's survived for 10 years and all the chaos. I've recently realised it's a great project and people still use it, so it should continue to be maintained and part of that means re-engaging the community. I have to separate what is community led versus what I personally want to do and what my potential business goals will be e.g make money.
This org will be for community led projects, docs and resources. I will try to find people who want to do that. It will require us to prune anything non-relevant and start again. Focusing on things people need without overlapping existing tools e.g Micro should support a CLI, API and Web UI around Go Micro. This doesn't mean the community shouldn't also build it, but the effort does mean dual work.
I hope to earn back the trust of the community in thing that I spent a decade working on. It's afforded me the ability to pay my bills for a long time and hopefully it can help others do the same. Go Micro is a tool like any other and I'd like it to be a valuable one for all devs.
