Best way to use httpx_client with ApigeeLLM

Requesting clarification on the best way to incorporate httpx.client(mainly the ssl setting) with the ApigeeLLM Client. Currently , the available parameters do not have a definitive way of setting the httpx.client properties through HttpOptions.

Wondering if we should override the current implementation of the api_client to achieve this.

Please suggest.

Hi @heyanand the api_client property creates the google.genai.Client instance with hardcoded HttpOptions that do not expose parameters for httpx.Client customization (such as SSL context or verification settings).
Yes, you should override the api_client property in a subclass of ApigeeLlm.
