Long text going off the screen in the "Recent Projects" list

Is there a way to infer longer texts for project paths by appending dots (...) at the end so that it does not go off the screen?

Eg. "Long/file/path..."

I see this usually in the recent file section as in Windows it copies full paths to the files. If possible, I think adding ... to the left of the string for file / project works better, but I haven't seen if it is possible to configure it or if it would be difficult to do yourself.
