Wrong field data to icao? msfs

Hi!

I think this is from acars, but I'm not sure because I don't quite know how the data is taken. It is something I have noticed in the pirep log when a pirep is archived.

The icao that appears in the pirep, is not the icao of the aircraft, it is the atc_model name in msfs.
The correct value should be from icao_type_designator value.

I consider it is important, because when you want for example to do a match check between what the pilot is flying (F22 raptor) and what the airline actually allows according to its rules or is available for bid (B738) you can't do a simple ICAO->ICAO comparison.

In a nutshell: icao_type_designator is not readable via simconnect

I wonder if that field is not yet accessible from simvars and the documentation is outdated, and if it could be read from the file itself, I mean, the data is there, and it is correct in all the planes I have seen.

We would not have to develop matches, or regex, or weird things that would not always work to check ICAO value at phpvms7 web side.

I will try to find the developers forum or something similar to see if asobo can be asked to implement that. In the case of xplane, I don't know what the problem is.

I am providing more information, for when this can be resolved in the future, either by asobo or another.

MSFS 2024, same aircraft in both. First was made with acars v1, after updated lvars to use v2 last version.

I saw in the latest version log some changes.
Is the aircraft.cfg file of the aircraft being queried?
If so, the “icao_type_designator value” could be read even if it is not available with Simconnect.
But, seems that for ICAO is still reading other field (atc_model) I think, not “icao_type_designator value” which is the specific icao of this aircraft.
Is it possible to take the icao_type_designator from the aircraft.cfg file?
