Can we use jekyll-scholar for the bibiliography?

jekyll-scholar allows using bibtex files for arranging the bibliography. This would make it easier to create a standardised list of references. Unfortunately it seems like a manual process to get the build to work with gh-pages but maybe it is possible?

I like this even better, as the other options are even more cumbersome to build.
