Looking at the documentation:

  • setting type=oci requires a dest parameter (which seems to output to a local file and not docker directly)
  • We can use oci-mediatypes=true with both type=docker and type=image but that might not be enough
  • Pushing with an extra step at the end seems to work and give the right results (?)

More experimentation needed so opening as a draft pr for now
