 👥 About Us

The Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) is a private, non-profit organization overseen by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), located in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil.

The Center is home to Sirius and Orion, and is composed of:

  • Brazilian Synchrotron Light National Laboratory (LNLS)
  • Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio)
  • Brazilian Biorenewables National Laboratory (LNBR)
  • Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano)
  • Technology Unit (DAT)
